Vocation Fair and Cinema Divina Night

This weekend, Sister Caritas and I participated in the Vocations Fair hosted by Transfiguration Parish in Toronto, and organized by the Serra Club of Toronto.

It was wonderful sharing the joy of our Pauline vocation with the young people, parishioners, and other religious and lay Catholic groups at the fair.

We invited the young people who visited our table to add a word that had to do with vocation or discernment to our puzzle. What wonderful creativity they showed!

Tonight, we have our Cinema Divina night with the film, The Young Victoria. For our theme we are drawing from the wisdom of St. Francis de Sales (from Courage in Chaos), who was the first great spiritual writer to recognize the unique characteristics of lay spirituality: How can our spirituality inform or transform our professional life, our choices in leadership, and our engagement with the world?
